He Oro Taiohi is a rangatahi focused group operating in the Central North Island town of Tūrangi.
Mentoring and nurturing our youth through music wānanga/workshops, audio production.
We also provide support and assistance post wānanga, in assisting them to carry on their learning whether it is vocal/music lessons, production, composing, stage presence/performance, mental health and wellbeing.
Though this is the core kaupapa we produce videography/content creation, for social media, profiles, promos, interviews, music video's and much more, we deliver content at the highest level and deliver to the clients vision.

He Oro Taiohi was founded by husband and wife duo of Aaron & Kelly Young-Moeke as a way to break the archaic education delivered to their children.
Don't get them wrong, they are big believer's in education but how many years do our tamariki stay at school learning things they don't like? Why do they have to be a certain age or year to be involved in something they are really passionate about? Why do you think whenever you ask your children, "how was school?"
the universal response is......BORING!
Kelly & Aaron found a way to harness and mentor that passion, via numerous industry mentors, and were able to build not only their children's passions but other rangatahi as well.

He Oro Taiohi connects mentors throughout the videography world and music industry to young rangatahi with a talent for the arts. We provide a safe, conducive, creative environment that allows them to be who they truly are, without judgement, prejudice or shame, all of which utilizes and is viewed via a te ao māori lense.
Connection is not only through music but through whakapapa, pepeha, karakia, mihimihi and whakawhanāungatanga.
Because knowing oneself is the most powerful element of empowerment that anyone can witness!
